MY FLAT

- Until I was 18 years old our family lived in a block of flats. It was situated in the centre of a city housing development. We had a two-roomed apartment and we did not enjoy our life there.

- So when I was 18, we moved into a detached house. It is about 70 years old but we renovated last year. It has 3 floors and my parents are owners of one half of the house. We live in the second floor and the flat has four rooms. Our place includes an attic and a cellar too.

- We have a living room, a bedroom, my room and of course, there is a kitchen, the bathroom, the toilet and a big hall. All rooms has wooden floors, except the bathroom, the toilet and the hall where are tiles.

- In the kitchen we have a kitchen unit, a sink, a dishwasher, a fridge, a freezer, a microwave, a coffee machine, a stove and a pantry. We don't have dining room, we eat in the kitchen where we have also table with four chairs.

- In the living room there is a big sofa, a coffee table, a TV, a video, a stereo. All around the room, there is a furniture with bookshelves and plants.

- In the bedroom there is a double bed, two bedside tables with lamps and four wardrobes.

- My room has a desk with a lamp and a computer. On the left is a bookshelf, on the right is my bed, opposite are two wardrobes. The furniture is made out of light wood and on the wall I have a picture. On the floor, I have a small carpet.

- Our hallway has a mirror, a closet and a wardrobe for shoes.

- Inside the home I most enjoy my room because I have here privacy.

- We have a large garden with fruit trees and flowerbeds. In addition we have an arbour here. Second garden we have at our summer cottage, there my parents grow vegetables such as carrots, garlic, onions and potatoes. We grow here also strawberries, apples and currants. Fruits trees are here too.

MY DREAM HOUSE

My dream house should be on my own private small tropical island in the Pacific Ocean. The island would be just ten minutes away from a continent and a city, I go there by my motorboat. I´d like to have here a big mansion with many rooms with air conditioning. I would have a swimming pool, a small airport, a large garden and an ocean view. All the rooms would be luxurious and comfortable. Inside the house I´d also build a sauna, a private gym and an indoor heated pool.

All the rooms will tidy up charwoman.

I would like to share my house with my future marriage partner and I would like to invite to my special place my relatives and friends. Apart from that, I would have another flat in New York and in Paris with a view of the Eiffel Tower. For winter recreation I would go to mountains for skiing.

COUNTRY LIFE AND CITY LIFE

VILLAGE:

The disadvantage of living in a village is the lack of shopping options, facilities for sports, and other cultural activities. Furthermore, people have to take a bus to school and work. And, of course, everyone knows everything about everybody.

The advantages: fresh air, few people, no industries, no noise; almost every person in the village keeps some poultry, rabbits, sheep, cows and pigs - they could bring to order a true household pig-feast, they have the possibility of growing own vegetables and fruit

CITY:

The positive aspects of living in a city are the job opportunities, the housing options, the wide variety of cultural and sport activities, the number of shops and the high quality medical facilities.

Disadvantages: hectic atmosphere created by stress, traffic and noise, polluted air, few parks and green.
